" I knew this subject would get the attention of our dear Mouthy. I have to agree with her. She also knows why I agree with her. Less than a year after I suffered a massive brain hemorrhage I was in a near fatal car accident in which I was a passenger. A sister was driving the car and took her eyes off the road because she thought she saw her husband. She was afraid he would be upset if he got home before she did. She drove into some trees next to a canal and we rolled over twice before ending up in the canal upside down in the car. I thought I would die in the car but I did manage to get out as she also did. Here I am 20 years later but still suffer from chronic illnesses. All that being said, I still would prefer to go "quietly into the night" in my sleep. But just as Grace knows we do have a better place to go and we shall be friends forever. I feel blessed to know her.

In the town we live in every teacher is being laid off and then some of them will be rehired in the Fall at 90% of their former salary. The story has been on national news the last few days.The town is running out of money but at the same time they have been digging up all the roads to put in city sewerage.

Not having a paradise earth in the future makes me sad - What about you?

the world as we know it didn't seem to me to be the way that god intended it to be.

This subject has no doubt puzzled many people. The whole idea of the Watchtower's teaching that people will never die but will go right through Armageddon and live on a paradise earth is just another one of their countless lies. There are no scriptures to prove these thoughts. Nowhere in the Bible, including the New World Translation will you find the term "Paradise earth". Jesus himself never used these words,neverless ever taught this to His apostles or disciples. Read His words carefully as stated in John chapter 14. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God, exercise faith also in Me. In the house of my Father there are many abodes. Otherwise I would have told You, because I am going my way to prepare a place for You. Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for You, I am coming again and will receive you home to myself, that where I am You also may be.Nowhere in His words will you see "paradise earth" or the thought that only 144,000 people are invited to be with Him. This is just another lie the Watchtower has been teaching. Ask yourself the question-where is His Father's house?God does really care for his children. REad His word without Watchtower literature and you will start to see what the Bible really promises. (All scriptures are taken from the NWT) I would suggest you get a REAL Bible, not one tainted with the occult such as the NWT and you will see the real truth. I only use it for research as the words are not the same as in other Bibles.

during a talk entitled the spirit and the bride keep on saying "come" he goes off at a tangent talking about how from 1920 to 1925 we said "millions now living will never die".
he went into great detail about how at first the title was "may" but was changed to"will".

The title of the lecture given in 1918 was "Millions now living will never die" The title of the book printed in 1920 was "Millions now living will never die". The cover of the book The Harp of God printed in 1921 also says "Proof conclusive that Millions now living will never die". This statement was later changed to "Millions now living MAY never die". Now come forward to the new book "What does the Bible teach? printed in 2005 and read what it says on page 57 par. 2 ---meanwhile we all die". Which statement should we believe?

Hi I'm new here

so here i am, desperate for some help.
i'm 21 and have been studying for 2 years, i was made an unbaptised publisher in february and it was all going great until i had a problem with getting a little tipsy, the elders had to come scrape me off the floor of my witness friends house and take me home.

Shameful Shunning and its Consequences -Is the WTS to blame?

The word "shun" appears only three times in the New World Translation and the word "shunning" only once. None of those scriptures speak of shunning the person but, rather their bad behavior. The Watchtower org. once again goes beyond what is written in the Bible to keep control over it's followers.

The structure of the Organization keeps people in
by BonaFide inwhen i was in bethel, i noticed this, and of course more now.. there are those big buildings in brooklyn, the huge watchtower sign, that big clock facing manhattan.
everyone in bethel has those haircuts, clothes are pressed.
everyone is at morning worship.

I agree with those who have said it is not what you know, it's who you know. The daughter of An elder in our congregation was smoking pot and nothing was ever done about it. However, my husband got disfellowshipped for showing the elders his personal letter from the United Nations proving the Watchtower org. was involved for over ten years. He also showed them several articles in the Watchtower telling Witnesses to Hate those who left. And, he showed them proof that the Org. paid out millions in lawsuits to innocent victims of pedophilia.They said he was 90 percent correct but, disfellowshipped him anyway.
